Find A Vet Near You
Need to find a veterinarian? Only believe in holistic veterinarians? New in town or on vacation with your pet and are experiencing a medical emergency? Relax. There is a do and a don't list. We are going to explore just one of the dos' here.
A emergency vet or a 24 hour vet can be located in five minutes using your favorite search engine and a laptop. Our favorite Search Engine is Google since their database is much more comprehensive and up to date than their nearest competitor. Translation: Even the newest and most recent web postings may have already been indexed by them so their results page will be the most complete.
In the Search box, type "Find a veterinarian" or just "Veterinarians" (even the misspelling veternarians will work, believe it or not). No need to type your actual GEO location such as Kansas City Veterinarians. If you are actually in Kansas City, Big Brother Google knows and will serve Kansas City vets at the top of their results page. If you are in Brooklyn, New York, guess where the vets will be from? That's right, Brooklyn! (This only works on laptop and desktop computers, not on Smartphones, unless the GPS locator is turned on).
You will now have in front of you all the veterinarian information you need to make a good choice. We say this because we know that if local veterinarians were smart enough to make page one of Google's search results, then they are probably working their business the same efficient way. Possibly. You're still responsible for doing due diligence.
Every search can be conducted in the same way. Need a vet specializing in bird diseases or one who can provide heartworm treatment today in Providence, Rhode Island? You now know what to do. Whether you need an emergency vet, have moved and need to find a local vet in your new city, or just adopted or purchased a pet and need to find a veterinarian, you can now help yourself.
Finding the right veterinarian or veterinarian hospitals can be a difficult process if we let it be, so let's not.
When it comes to our pets and animals, only the best will do and they are counting on us. We tend to want to read veterinarian reviews and everything else, simply because we don't want to make a mistake. That's understandable but not practical. That only bogs you down. The answer you are looking for can usually be found on the first couple of pages of search results.
So you now can find local vets quite easily in Google on your laptop, but what about on the mobile phone? To find a veterinarian on the mobile web will not be as satisfying as it would be on the desktop or laptop and that's no one's fault.
Just think about it. Some very good, but "ols school" local vets don't even have a traditional website, how on earth is Google going to find them with a Mobile Search Engine? Mobile Search still has a long way to go and the results will be very lacking. Until this changes, the best bet is to stick with the regular internet.

"Congratulations to Dr. Sobowale on the opening of Croydon Pet Hospital.
"Just from the way you handled Shaq and Libby at Banfield, I know that Croydon Pet Hospital will be a huge success.
